Venturing in to Cornwall the traditional seaside resort of Bude, with its sandy beaches, surf shops, tea rooms and canal is just 30 minutes drive. Try a round of crazy golf or hire a tennis court or rowing boat, plenty for all the family to do.

Close to us we have Gooseham Barton riding stables situated near Morwenstow; great for riders and non riders alike. Morwenstow is also home to the Rev Hawker and the famous Hawkers Hut overlooking the high rugged cliffs that hold many tales of wreckers.

Moving across the border in to Devon and Hartland with its quay overlooking the sea, Hartland Abbey and the gardens at Docton Mill with their award winning cream teas.

Further along the coast we have Clovelly itself a short drive or walk for the move adventurous from us, with its cobbled streets heading down to the harbour at the bottom with traditional crafts and coastal walks.

For family fun we have the Milky Way theme park just a few minutes drive from us and at Bideford the family attraction of the Big Sheep.

With Bideford approx 15 mins drive from us with its busy town and quay watch the ships sail by, and with it’s large park, with outside toddlers and younger children pool(free of charge) perfect for a picnic.  The Tarka cycle trail has miles of track following the Torridge River, bikes and canoes available for hire.
