About Us
Family-run for over 30 years
Located near Clovelly, our site was once an expanse of overgrown scrub and marshland.
Our founder, dairy farmer Peter Symons, transformed this landscape when he constructed the first lake in the early 1980s. A decade later, he initiated the expansion of Clovelly Lakes by building the first four timber holiday lodges.
As the years passed, Clovelly Lakes grew under Peter's dedicated stewardship, adding 14 more lodges along with a selection of fishing lakes. It blossomed into a thriving family holiday business, characterised by on-site fishing, captivating scenery, and an array of fascinating wildlife.
His legacy continues through his daughter Claire and son Adam. They have stepped up, with Claire taking over the helm of the business. They are committed to preserving their father's vision and ensuring the continued growth and success of Clovelly Lakes. The Symons family continues to welcome guests to experience the unrivaled tranquility and beauty of Clovelly Lakes, just as their father did for many years.
